A spreadsheet stores and organises data.  You can do instant calculations, sort and summarise the data and visualise them using graphs and charts. They are ideal for budgeting, planning, cataloguing, to-do lists, or any type of tabulated information, or where repeated calculation is needed.

  • Spreadsheets
    • Basic Concepts:  Rows, columns and cells.  Multiple sheets.  Numbers, text and dates.
    • Ranges:  Select, copying, moving, insert, delete.
    • Formatting:  Numbers, dates, alignment, orientation.
    • Simple Formulas:  Entering formulas.  Referencing cells.  Using the function wizard.
    • Printing: Selecting.  Previewing.
    • More on Cells:  Adding comments.  Protecting cells.
    • Graphs:  Inserting.  Which type of graph to use.  Defining data ranges
    • Querying Your Data:  Sorting and filtering.
