This was the first ever South Solihull u3a Crazy Golf Championship played at the world-renowned Four Ashes Adventure Golf Course.  Under perfect weather, the last sixteen battled it out in pursuit of Championship glory.  Would they tame some of the crazy holes? Would the fast flowing water course help them to a hole in one?  How many times would the fishing net be required to save a competitor's game?

Despite the intense competition, all players had a great time with plenty of laughs and frivolity.  There were prizes too for the Championship Winner, Keith Shilton, a very recent new member of our u3a.  Second place prize went to David Walker.  The prize for the player with the 'greatest potential for improvement' went to a worthy recipient who took it all in good part.

After the competition, many retired to the nearby watering hole - namely the Drum and Monkey - for some well earned lunch.
