Snow Hill to the University of Birmingham

This was a walk along roads and paths with added commentary.  Our route took us from Snow Hill Station, to Colmore Row, Victoria Square, Centenery Square, The ICC, Brindley Place, Gas St. Basin, the Worcester and B'ham Canal, ending at Birmingham University.  Along the way, Alison regaled us with interesting facts and tales about many of the buildings and sites that we passed.  These included the house on Ampton Road in Edgbaston where the first game of Lawn Tennis was played, and the Clock Tower at Birmingham University, one of (and possibly) the tallest free standing Clock Towers in the world.  We stopped for lunch at the Vale Residences, maybe the oldest group of diners ever at this student Cafeteria!  Then we caught the train home from University Station.
